There are two main benefits of the body wrap. The first is inch loss. We guarantee you’ll lose 6 inches with your first wrap, although the average is between 12 to 15 inches. The second major benefit is removing harmful toxins from your body that can make you sick. These special mineral body wraps can:

- Firm and tighten your skin
- Trim your waistline

This is accomplished by being wrapped from head to toe with ace-type elastic bandages that are soaked in a mineral solution. The minerals absorb into the body through the skin. The compression of the bandages squeeze the fat cells back together and drain out the toxic fluid that is trapped between them. (This makes it particularly effective in treating cellulite!) The toxins in the fluid are then exchanged for the minerals in the solution. That’s how you get your detox!
Before you are wrapped, the technician will measure various points around your body and place a precise mark where she measured. After you are measured she will start the process of wrapping you. You will be wrapped in your bra and underwear so you will need to bring an extra set to wear home. Some trouble areas you may have will be wrapped a bit more snug than others to help firm up that area. You will be in the wrap for 1 hour. During that time the technician will show you some targeted exercises that help work against the bandages to squeeze those fat cells and drain the toxins. After the hour is up, you will be unwrapped and re-measured to see what kind of inch loss you’ve had.
How long does the inch loss last?
Depending on your lifestyle will determine how long the inch loss will last. If you eat a lot of processed foods, drink alcohol, or consume a lot of sugar the inches will come back fairly soon.. If you are eating a healthy, balanced diet and get plenty of exercise and drink lots of water then the inches will stay gone until you gain weight.
The whole process takes 2-21/2 hours. The wraps are done by appointment only at our Munster location. We do offer daytime and evening hours as well as weekends.
